Get Started with the Future of Reading Program

The Future of Reading provides a curriculum, course book, and a reading coach method to teach reading skills to elementary school students.  The reading skills focus on reading standards for kindergarten through the third grade.

A key component is the role of the reading coach, who will spend individual time with each student during the week to review the student’s understanding of the lesson skills and their ability to read the lesson content.

We encourage family engagement and support of the child’s efforts in learning to read.  Parents or legal guardians can log in to the student’s account and review the lessons the student has completed or any future lessons in the student’s lesson plan.

Our focus is to provide a reading curriculum with support to primary school students whose reading skills are “below basic proficiency” or “at basic proficiency” for their current grade level. Admittance to the program covers the cost of:

  • The initial placement and assessment
  • Student workbooks
  • Recorded reading lessons
  • Supervising Teacher
  • Reading Coach Support

The Supervising Teacher conducts the initial assessment, sets the weekly schedule for lesson engagement, monitors progress, and conducts periodic assessments, generally upon the completion of each workbook.

The reading coach will review the student’s understanding of the lesson content. Thsi review will address the student’s workbook page, the student’s understanding of the reading skills being taught, and the student’s ability to read the lesson content.
