At Future of Reading, we are committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of student data while fostering literacy. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and share information related to our early literacy program.
1. Data Collection and Purpose:
We collect student names for program registration and administrative purposes Future of Reading. Our primary measurements involve tracking student progress within the Learning Management System (LMS) lessons and through comprehensive assessment data, including Baseline, Checkpoint, and Progress Assessments. This data helps us tailor individualized lesson plans and provide targeted support to help each student become a “Super Reader”.
2. Unique Student Identification and Anonymization:
To ensure appropriate content access and accurate progress tracking, a unique login ID is created for each student. Progress results are reported and tracked internally using this internally generated student ID Future of Reading. While student names exist in our system for administrative needs, student assessment data shared for aggregate reporting or external analysis is anonymized to protect the privacy of all students Future of Reading.
3. Data Usage and Sharing:
Student progress results, linked by their internal Student ID, are shared with school administrators and the student’s specific teacher(s) to inform instruction and monitor academic growth. Parents can also access the video lesson library using their child’s unique login ID, allowing them to follow along and support their child’s learning journey. We do not sell or lease student personal data to third parties.
4. Data Security:
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect student data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to perform their duties.

Our practices are designed to align with educational data privacy principles, focusing on the responsible handling of student information to support their academic success.
